Christine Taranto

Christine has 16 years of active service in the Marine Corps and was on the Marine Corps Running Team from 2011-2016.  She was the Female Marine Corps Athlete of the Year in 2013 and 2015. In 2015, she was the Armed Services Marathon Champion and placed 2nd at the Marine Corps Marathon with a time of 2:53:30. She has been a lifelong athlete with a strong background in swimming, weightlifting, and cycling in addition to running. Christine has been advising athletes for the last 10 years on everything from running faster, and injury prevention, to sports anxiety and depression. Her current goals are learning to balance her Marine Corps Career, fitness, and being a new mom. She’s been coaching for over ten years from youth cross country teams to senior military members and hopes to coach you to your best self.

Joe Puleo

Joe has been coaching distance running and track and field over 30 years. He has been the head coach for men’s and women’s cross country, and track and field at Rutgers University at Camden, where he produced 10 Division III All-Americans, including two individual national champions. Simultaneously, he spent a decade coaching the USMC’s All-Marine running program, where he coached three CISM World Championship teams for the United States Armed Forces (marathon and cross country). He has also coached United States Olympic Trials Qualifiers in both the marathon and javelin. Joe has served on an advisory panel for New Balance and is a frequent contributor to articles that have appeared in Runner’s World and other fitness publications.
